Welcome to

The Art of Signs

The modern day sign shop is not unlike the early handcrafted signwriting shops in their adoption of new and revolutionary techniques. If you reflect, way-back signwriters originally mixed their own paints, crafted their brushes and even created tools to extend their services to include carpentry skills and sign fabrication and eventually illuminated and beyond there is little doubt there is only one constant - Change.

Therefore the proposed Book "The Art of Signs" is intending to showcase and chronicle a large percentage of the varied skill sets and people who are the leaders in their chosen area of expertise. We believe we have something out to the box and therefore we are seeking expressions of interest to those skill woman and men of the sign game who who like to discuss the opportunity of being showcased in the Chapter called "meet the signmakers"

Anyone who knows would agreed i know many great signmakers, however i dont know everyone, so if you wish to nominate yourself or a colleague, I would love you you to contact up via the online form below or call me for a chat.

There is NO cost to sign makers who wish to be involved - it's FREE to register your interest and actually be a successful submission participant.

Successful participants will receive many long term benefits. We are seeking around 20 - 30 in total, and the clock is ticking!

The digital revolution started in the early 1980's with the Gerber Graphix 4 vinyl cutter, leading to CNC routers leading to large format Digital Printers and more recently 3D printers...what is next?

Celebrating all Signmaking Signs and People:

Its very much a case of not every skill suits every sign shop, leading to specialisation or multi-discipline growth - our book is not dedicated to any single creative pursuit - rather a celebration of all.
